Currently we are open normal hours for the public to purchase and collect essentials only and for trade customers for essentials and materials needed in their profession. For everyone’s safety, social distancing measures are in place throughout our premises and are being enforced. Our upstairs clothing area is not open unless essential clothing or footwear is needed, in which case you can ask a member of staff.
To reduce numbers inside the shop, we are encouraging customers to pre-order goods either by phone or email which we will bring outside and to your cars if requested. We are also taking orders outside near the entrance to the shop. For non account customers we can take payment over the phone once your order is ready or we will have a card machine outside for contactless payments.
Access inside the shop is permitted but strictly controlled and you will be asked to wash your hands before entering. There is a sink in the yard for this purpose. A member of staff will tell you when you can enter. In the counter area please observe the one way signs and only one customer will be served at once, there is a line on the floor to stand behind.
We are currently assessing the possibility of delivering more goods direct to homes but if any isolating people cannot arrange collection of essentials then please get in touch.
All of these measures are more labour intensive and heavily dependant on staff so please bear with us if we’re busy. We believe if we all work together keeping our distancing (2 metres apart or 7’ for our non metric customers) then we can keep us all safe.
